Our vision
At Armor of God Ministries, our vision is to see the homeless of Lakewood, Colorado transformed from hopelessness to purpose through the power of Jesus Christ.
We envision a community where no one is forgotten, no one is discarded, and no one is beyond redemption.
Our vision is not simply to provide temporary relief, but to raise up men and women who are spiritually renewed, mentally restored, sober, stable, and equipped to walk in their God-given identity.
We see streets where despair once ruled becoming places of prayer.
We see addiction replaced with freedom.
We see brokenness rebuilt into testimony.
We see warriors rising from the ashes.
Through faith, compassion, accountability, and action, we will stand in the gap for those in crisis — guiding them first to Christ, then toward recovery, and ultimately into restored living.
We believe that when a heart is changed by Jesus, a life can be rebuilt — and when lives are rebuilt, communities are transformed.
We are Warriors For Those In Need.
Scriptural Foundation
Our Mandate: Serve the Least, Restore the Broken, Proclaim Freedom
1. Our Call to Serve the Vulnerable
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.”
— Matthew 25:35
We believe serving the homeless is not optional — it is obedience to Christ. When we feed the hungry, clothe the poor, and visit those in need, we are serving Jesus Himself.
2. Our Mission to Proclaim Freedom
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor… to proclaim freedom for the captives and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed.”
— Luke 4:18
This is the model of our ministry.
We go to the poor.
We preach the Good News.
We proclaim freedom from addiction, bondage, and despair.
3. Our Belief in Transformation
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
We believe true recovery begins with spiritual renewal. Jesus does not just manage behavior — He transforms hearts.
4. Our Commitment to Restoration
“They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated.”
— Isaiah 61:4
God is in the business of rebuilding lives that seem beyond repair. What has been broken by addiction, trauma, or homelessness can be restored by His power.
5. Our Identity as Spiritual Warriors
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
— Ephesians 6:11
We recognize that homelessness, addiction, and despair are not only social issues — they are spiritual battles. We stand equipped in the Armor of God as warriors for those in need.
Our Story
A Calling Born from Compassion and Obedience
Armor of God Ministries did not begin as an organization — it began as a burden on the heart.
As I walked through the streets of Lakewood and saw men and women sleeping in tents, struggling with addiction, fighting mental health battles, and living without hope, the Lord began to stir something deep within me. Local social media would be full of complaints of the mounting problem in our city. These were not statistics. They were sons and daughters of God. They were people created with purpose — yet trapped in cycles of despair.
I could not ignore it.
What started as simple acts of kindness — Volunteering, offering food, prayer, conversation, and encouragement — quickly became something more. Each encounter revealed the same truth: the deepest need was not just shelter or sobriety. It was Jesus.
Time and again, I learned from various local ministries and authorities that real transformation begins in the heart. When someone encounters Christ, chains begin to break. Hope begins to rise. Identity begins to be restored.
The Lord made it clear: this was not just volunteer work I was to do. This was a calling. Armor of God Ministries was born from that calling — a mission to go beyond temporary relief and walk with people through true restoration:
First, introducing them to Jesus Christ.
Then, supporting their journey toward sobriety and mental stability.
Finally, helping them rebuild their lives through housing, employment, and accountability. It's not just feeding them, clothing them or giving them housing before they are ready- it's SOLVING the root reason for their struggle.
We believe homelessness is not the end of someone’s story. Addiction is not their identity. Brokenness is not permanent.
God restores.
Through prayer, obedience, and faith, Armor of God Ministries became a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit — not for recognition, but for responsibility. Responsibility to stand in the gap. Responsibility to serve faithfully. Responsibility to fight for those who feel forgotten.
This ministry is built on one conviction:
When God calls, we answer.
We are committed to being Warriors For Those In Need — standing firm in faith, equipped with the Armor of God, and walking beside the broken until they are restored.
To God be the glory.
